Studies evaluating the biological effects and mechanisms of action of sulfur water balneotherapy, hydropinotherapy and inhalation therapy and sulfur mud therapy in humans, in animal models of diseases and in cell cultures are reporting the biologic effects mostly similar to the physiological functions of endogenous H2S. In this report obtained data is briefly presented and discussed.
